Escapers caught
(N.Z. Press Association) MASTERTON, Dec. 19. Two escaped prisoners who had been on the run for several weeks, were caught this morning on the south Wairarapa coast. A third man was also taken into custody. Policemen from Wairarapa and Lower Hutt, assisted by three oolice dog-handlers from Wellington, began a search at 5 a.m. today soon after the trio were spotted travelling in two vehicles between Featherston and Greytown. By 9.30 a.m. all three men had been captured on the w’estern side of Cape Palliser.
