IN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 14. A move to persuade the Bank of New Zealand to consider a voluntary height reduction to the controversial 31-storey structure it is building in Wellington has failed.
The Wellington City Council has voted against a motion calling on the bank to reduce the building by 10 storeys to avoid predicted wind hazards and blend the building with the present skyline.
