Burnham keeps lead
Burnham Camp retained the lead in the Manning Cup inter-club bowls competition on Saturday when it beat Kaiapoi W.M.C., 33 points to 27.
Before Saturday’s sixth round, Bumham Camp had 122| points, and its nearest rival was Riccarton Racecourse, with 120 J. Christchurch was third, with 100, and Woodend (98) and Kaiapoi (93J) came next. The sixth round was also played on Saturday in the Robinson Shield competition for colts, and after five rounds only four of the 93 entries were still unbeaten. They were Dallington 11, Elmwood 1, Riccarton Racecourse 11 and Sydenham 11. There will now be a break in both competitions until January 17. Results:— Barrington green v.
