Winter—Wilson: Mr and Mrs J. P. A. Wilson, of the Carlton Hotel, Christchurch, have great pleasure in announcing the engagement of their only daughter, Jane Mary,, to Stewart Arthur James, second son of Mr E. M. Winter, of 30 South Hampton Street, Christchurch, and Mrs L. H. Winter, of New Plymouth.
Re-elected officers. — Mrs H. Bonisch was re-elected president at the recent annual meeting of the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women. Miss C. Blair was re-elected secretary, and Mrs A. Dumbleton, treasurer.
