The European Economic jCommunity Commission 1 would increase the special : levies on New Zealand butter :and cheese exports to the [United Kingdom to 71.38 and 92.87 units of account per ;100 kilos, from December 8, ‘Commission sources said. | The reasons are firmer 1 prices in the United Kingdom 'and expectation of the 18 per cent price increase granted to New Zealand butter and cheese shipments to Britain from January 1, 1976, they said. The current levels, set on September 16, when E.E.C. internal prices were raised, are 49.01 units of account for ; butter and 70.72 for cheese. In Wellington a spokesman [for the Dairy Board said that the new levies were not significant for the New Zealand farmer. “These levies will not agreed on,’.’ he said.
