No gift for Clipper
The Christchurch City Council has no legal power to make a <s2ooo contribution to the Christchurch Transport Board towards continuation of the City Clipper shoppers’ bus service, city solicitors have said. Most councillors had been willing to increase their support during 1976, but they sought legal opinion first. The policy and finance committee recommended that the contribution be declined.
