Sprockett arrives
The well performed Te Kauwhata two-year-old, Sprockett, arrived in Christchurch yesterday on his way to contest the New Zealand Golden Slipper Stakes at the Waimate meeting on Saturday. The son of Crocket is being cared for by Jack Behrns, at Chertsey. His trainer. Irvin Behrns. will travel south on Friday and handle him in his engagement at Waimate. Sprockett has won twice in the Auckland area and will probably start favourite in Saturday’s race.
