Anna Halsted dies in N.Y.
(N.Z P.A.Reuter —Copyright) NEW YORK. Anna Roosevelt Halsted, only daughter of America’s wartime leader, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, has died of cancer. She was 69. Mrs Halsted was often seen in the White House during World War 11, when she served as a private assistant to her father from 1943 and accompanied him to the Yalta Conference of Allied leaders in 1945. In 1952 she married Dr James Halsted and began a career in public relations in the medical field. Two earl-! ier marriages ended in di-i vorce. i
