Trade talks continue

Trade talks between New Zealand and Australia were’ continuing in Canberra this: morning, in spite of the Australian political crisis and the appointment of a caretaker Government. The talks, which concern future Tasman co-operation in the motor vehicle indus-; try, are largely technical,' and follow the September’ meeting in Wellington be-! tween trade ministers from the two countries, at which; basic agreement to improve i co-operation in the motor’ vehicle industry was reached. Australia wishes to sell; ’more cars to New Zealand.i land New Zealand is pushing strongly to increase its ex--1 ports of vehicle components to Australia. I
