Big response for centenary

(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, June 14.

The centennial celebrations of the Dunedin Teachers' .College next January will be 'the biggest of their kind held in New Zealand.

Although registrations do ■not close until early July, '2lOO people have already paid registration fees. The biggest centennial held in New i Zealand previously was that of the Otago Boys’ High School in 1963, which had 1600 registrations.

Kirk appeal. — The people of Niue Island have contributed $657 to the Norman i Kirk memorial fund. A public appeal which closed yesterday nearly matches the SIOOO given to the fund by the Niue Government. — !(P.A.).
