More T.H.C. purchases

The Tourist Hotel Corporation was planning more property purchases in Queenstown, said the Minister of Tourism (Mrs Tirika-tene-Sullivan) in Parliament Replying to Mr H. R. Lapwood (Nat., Rotorua) she said it would not be in the public interest to give advance notice of the corporation’s intentions. The Minister said she would pass on to the corporation a request from Mr H. .1. Walker (Nat., Papanui) that a copy of plans for reconstruction of Eureka House in Queenstown be, tabled in the House. “It’s an unusual request,” she said.
