Cricketer to settle

Press Association > DUNEDIN, March 6 Billy Ibadulla, the former Pakistani test and Warwickshire county player, who inspired Glenn Turner to make professional cricket his career, is to settle in Dunedin later this year Ibadulla. his German-bom wife and their three children plan to arrive in the citv from England either in late August or early September His entry permit to New Zealand is subject to the condition that he has employment arranged in New Zealand before he leaves England. The news was announced this evening at a function to celebrate the publication of Glenn Turner’s book, “My Way.” Turner dedicated his book to Ibadulla, the Otago Cricket Association’s professional coach from 1965-66 to 1966-67, who did so much to mould his approach to the game in the formative stages of his first-class career. Ibadulla was refused a visa last year. He is at present a schoolmaster in Bromley, Kent. Ibadulla. aged .39. retired after the 1971 English season when he had scored 16.300 runs at an average of more than 27 and taken 424 wickets.
