Wheat price
Sir, — I see the Government is practising its normal discrimination against the farmers with the new wheat price. It is very loud in its ideal of relativity between one worker and another plus six-monthly price index increases. In 12 months, wages have increased at least 30 per cent. To keep relativity plus the other increases as well as save overseas borrowing, the Goverr w* has condescended to offer farmers a 4 per cent increase. When will it give more than lip serveie to equality? When will it stop its petty discrimination? Why won’t it learn to get its priorities right? Give farmers a fair deal now. — YOURS ETC., L.G. February 17. 1975.
