Many established issues lower in Australia
Mining and industrial issues continued to fall on Australian exchanges yesterday.
Though many issues ended in the rises column, sellers appeared to re-enter the market in the last few minutes of trading. B.H.P. closed 6c up at 646 c, after being 10c ahead B.N.S.W. traded at 584 c throughout the session to! register a 2c loss on the day. In a slightly weaker financier section, I.A.C. moved against the trend with a 12c rise -to 76c —in spite of a lower profit for the half-year. • The biggest loser in the mining section was Utah, down 16c to 654 c. Broken Hill South was 10c lower at 235 c, while smaller losses were registered by Bougainville, Hamersley, and M.I.M. Gold stocks were mostly firm in the wake of an unichanged price on the London ; bullion market. Peko-Walls-I end, however, was 5c lower, jand Poseidon lost 10c at 1550 c. SYDNEY
