PIPI LONGSTOCKING Regarding the “children’s” programme. “Pipi Long--1 stocking,” I believe it sho>uld be banned. When it was first shown (about three years [ago) there were detrimental [effects on children. I would [like to know why the N.Z.B.C. has seen fit to repeat it. It has affected our family ;to the extent that our two girls, aged eight and 10 years, are wanting to leave home and be free, like Pipi. Until last Thursday we were a happy and contented family, but now the children are discontented. As far as we are concerned there is no such thing as freedom and I’m sure most parents agree. Can something be done about this?-—ANOTHER MOTHER.
