Another group on tour

Two members of Music Players 70, the contemporary piano-percussion group, left Wellington yesterday for a 13-day tour of Australia under the auspices of Musica Viva Australia. The first recital will be in Melbourne on Thursday, and the last at the Sydney Opera House on November 5. The two pianists in the group are Barry Margan and David James, who left New Zealand yesterday, and the two percussionists are Gary Brain and Trevor Dean, who are in Australia with the N.Z.B.C. Symphony Orchestra. The group is touring with assistance from the Music Federation of New Zealand and the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council.
