Lincoln poll on weather
A request from Lincoln residents for a referendum on a proposed high-pressure water-supply for the town was granted by the Ellesmere County Council at its meeting yesterday. If the referendum showed a majority of residents to be in favour of the scheme, the council shall proceed with it (without delay, the residents said. The County Clerk (Mr W. 'S. K. Drew) said that he would arrange for the referendum to be held early in 1975. 1 The council also agreed to incorporate the environ- ( mental development plan for Lincoln in the county plan- ; ning scheme.
