T Diehl (U.S.) became the tenth player this year to win jthe first tournament of his projfessional golf career when he finished with a total of 269 to take the 8125,000 San AntoniojTexas open. For the 24-year-old Diehl, his 'single shot win over the 1972 (winner and fellow countryman, |M. Hill, meant picking up a -cheque for 825,000. Hill missed la 15ft putt on the final green (to tie with Diehl.
