Orana Park collection

The Orana Park anneal in Christchucrh on Saturday raised more than $14,000. About 4000 collectors, mainly schoolchildren, covered most of the city. The appeal co-ordinator (Mr A. M. Johnstone) said yesterday that no target had been set for the collection, but the result was pleasing. The money would probably be spent on boundary fencing for the 40-acre park. An appeal would be held in Kaiapoi and Rangiora next Saturday, he added.
