'TV a pain in the neck'
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK, Oct. 21. An American doctor has discovered what many critics have been saying for years: “television can give you a pain in the neck.” Writing in the “Jo.umal of the American Medical Association,” Dr David Goldberg, of Springfield, Massachusetts, says that many Americans suffer from neck pain because of the unnatural positions they assume when watching television, specifically, leaning b?ck on reclining chairs or lying on couches. Dr Goldberg suggests two cures: refrain from reclining or lying down while watching, or put your set on the ceiling.
