i.Vz’. Press .Association' WELLINGTON. Mr R. S. V. Simpson, of Wellington, will be chairman of the Higher Salaries Commission, which will determine the salaries and allowances of Ministers and other members of Parliament and the salaries of a wide range of senior positions in the public sector. Mr Simpson is senior partner in the Wellington law firm of Bell. Gully and Company, and chancellor of Victoria University. The other two members will be Mr W. L. Birnie, of Auckland, 'secretary of NewZealand Steel, Ltd. and Mr E. A. Missen, of Wellington/ the retired Secretary for Justice.
