D.C. Nursing Sisters THE POSITION: Applicant must nave general a»q mldwiferv nursing certificates with at least two years general experience as a trained sister. She will be responsible to the Senior Medical Officer for the care o« sick European, Pacific Island and Chinese patients, supervision of orderlies, trainee nurses and confinements. Assistance at operations as necessary, supervision of clinic for patients presenting outside normal surgery hours. Successful applicant will be exoected to work on a rotating shift Including night Shift and a preparedness to Instruct trainee nurses is also necessary. Applicants should be m the age grouo 23-35 years. CONDITIONS; appointment wilt be by an initial contract of 12 months and thereafter on a permanent basis. Free passage to tne Island and return on reave. Approximately 6 weeks leave plus travelling time on full psy and allowances after 12 months term of service at the island. Free medical attention on the island. Immediate superannuation and other staff benefits available. Self-contained accommodation and meals are provided at a cost of $BlO.OO per annum. Amemt'es on the island include a staff recreation c'ub, tennis, bowls and golf dubs. An attractive TAX FREE salary plus Island and Uniform allowance to ba negotiated. Overtime is payable.
