The International Football I Federation (F.1.F.A.) has (opened the door for China’s return to world soccer.
The F.I.F.A. executive committee. meeting for the first time under the presidency of Mr J. Havelange (Brazil), decided that any member nation could play matches against China provided that it first applied for a permit from the F.I.F.A. general secretariat. A proposal from Iran that China should be allowed to play in the Asian Games soccer tournament in September was also accepted.
