LUIGI FOR AUSTRALIA

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Luigi, the winner of a minor steeplechase during the Auckland winter meeting and fourth placegetter in the Great Northern Steeples after making nearly all the pace, is one of several horses which left by air from Auckland for Sydney yesterday. Luigi was taken to Australia by his trainer, L. J. Clutterbuck, of Te Awamutu, and is on his way to Melbourne. Clutterbuck having arranged to take up quarters at Mordialloc, about 40 miles from the city. Others booked on the flight included Frazier, Nemeses, Secretary’s Mate, and Puck, all owned by Mr Eric Haydon, who operates Flag Is Up Farm, a thoroughbred stud, at Te Kauwhata. Frazier is bound for A. Brown’s stable in Sydney, and the others are going to a Ballarat trainer, N. F. Kelly.
