[ A Hamilton Territorial Force Army officer has been selected to spend a year as a United Nations observer in Palestine. He is Major K. F. Lee, battery commander of 4 Medium Battery, Royal New Zealand Artillery, Hamilton Major Lee, a physical education teacher at Fraser High School, Hamilton, will leave for Palestine in August. He will serve in Syria, the northern part of Israel, and in Jordan.

He will be part of a 2000member United Nations [group based in Palestine as | a treaty supervision force, i New Zealand contributes jfour officers to the group, i Major Lee was a United [Nations observer in Kashmir (in 1970-71.
