MARKET RALLY CONTINUED IN QUIETER TRADING

Prices continued to recover in most sections on quieter New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. Turnover in most stocks was low. about 30 per cent of the days’ total being in the six most-active shares. However, rises were much more numerous than falls, many being substantial. Canterbury Timber Products joined the list, and traded 5c below the partly-paid value of 50c.
