Ruling party gains likely iN.Z.PA.-Reuter—Copyright) TOKYO, July 3. Japan’s ruling LiberalDemocratic Party is expected to increase its strength slightly in Upper House elections next Sunday but the Communist Party is likely to make the biggest gains, according to an opinion poll released today. The national poll by the Kyodo News Agency predicted that, among the Opposition, tile Communist Party would make sizeable gains, the main Japanese Socialist Party would maintain its present strength, and the moderate Democratic-Social-ist Party and the Buddhist oriented Komeito (clean government) party would lose seats.
