Long service in R.S.A.

Mr O. P. Anderson, president of the Sumner-Redcliffs Returned Services’ Association for eight years died recently.

His long service with the; R.S.A. included 20 years onj the executive of the Sumner- j ißedcliffs branch. Before that! he was on the executive of ithe Christchurch branch and on the St Albans sub-; committee.

Mr Anderson, a keen sportsman, was a life member of the Sumner Cricket. Club, of which he was president for a term.

He also served on the executive of the Sumner Bowling Club and was twice a member of the winning rink in the club championships. He served as club president for a year and later became the club’s delegate to the Christchurch Bowling Centre.

Mr Anderson is survived by his widow, four children and four grandchildren.
