FIVE-DAY MAYOR
Christchurch City will be in the hands of the youngest municipal Mayor in the history of New Zealand next week.
Cr D. F. Caygill, aged 25, will be the city’s Mayor for five days while the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and chairman of the council’s finance committee, will be at the annual meeting of the Municipal Association.
Two other councillors, Cr W. Massey and Cr M. McG. Clark have been acting Mayor before. Cr Massey is overseas.
