Town XV trials

Nine Christchurch clubs have players in the two trial teams to select the Town side for its annual Rugby match against Country at Queen’s Birthday week-end. The teams, to be captained by W. F. McCormick and L. J. Davis, were announced by the Canterbury A selectors (Mr P. Clark and Dr J. Hart) and will play at Rugby Park on Thursday, Anzac Day.

The selectors did not consider the New Zealand players and members of the Belfast and Christchurch teams, which will play a senior championship match after the trial. The teams are:
