Guerrillas killed
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) MONTEVIDEO, April 22. Three girl Tupamaro guerrillas and a policeman were killed in a suburban gunbattle in Montevideo yesterday.
Two Army officers, a lieu-tenant-colonel and a captain, were wounded in the shooting. The dead women were ; aged 19 and 22. Observers say that the incident was the most serious (involving guerrillas in Uruguay since President Borda- ! berry seized absolute power in a virtual coup d’etat in ‘June last year.
