The Location: The plant is situated approximately 5 miles south of Greymouth on the Main South Road. The Plant: is one of the largest plywood manufacturing plants in New Zealand and contains a large range ot sophisticated machinery, some of which is electronically controlled. Some new work is at present in progress making the work interesting and varied. Qualifications: Registered Electricians are required and experience in basic electronics would be a definite advantage. Remuneration: All personnel at the factory are employed under the Westland Timber Workers’ Union award and rates of pay are competitive. Hours of Work: From 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. with ample opportunities for overtime, which staff are encouraged to take advantage of. The night shift commences at 4 p.m. and works until 12.30 a.m. with a half hour for tea. At present ample opportunity for overtime exists and staff are encouraged to take advantage of this. AMENITIES:

THE PLANT: Consists of one 33.0001 b hour John Thompson water boiler on which most of the processes are automatic.
