Ambassador to Vietnam
(N Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 3. A career officer with the Department of Foreign Af fairs, Mr Norman Farrell, has been appointed as New Zea land’s new Ambassador t»> South Vietnam.
Mr Farrell, who is at present head of the department’s Information and Cultural Af fairs Division, will replace Sir Leonard Thornton, who has completed his assignment in Saigon.
