Apple prices announced

The price schedules for early-season varieties of apples have been announced by the Apple and Pear Board. Gravensteins should retail at between 10c and 13c per lb. There is also a small supply of Albany and Gratia Beauty apples and these should sell at between 12c land 15c per lb for Albany Beauty, and 14c and 17c for Gratia Beauty.

The board expects a full supply of the varieties in a fortnight. Although prices may vary slightly throughout the country they should not exceed the’prices stated.
