The Canterbury Hotel Association will recommend to members that live entertainment in Christchurch hotel and tavern bars cease at 9.45 p.m. during the Commonwealth Games.
Last week the association recommended that entertainment be banned after 9 p.m., but several prominent persons — including three city councillors — objected .At an executive meeting yesterday the association changed its recommendation to 9.45 p.m.
The restriction is recommended to take effect from January 21.
