Pig seeks owner

The Hornby police ?.-e trying to find the owner of a pig which apparently fell from a truck in Main South Road yesterday morning. The 801 b. pinkish coloured sow (“I think it is what they call a porker.” said Senior-Sergeant A. G. Adcock) was discovered lying dazed in the middle of the road by a woman motorist.

Bv the time she had reported her find to the Hornby police, the animal h?.d regained its senses and made off.

Policemen chased it through the grounds of a motel and two or three gardens until it was cornered in the yard of a property in Montague Street where, after a brief tussle, it was hog-tied.

It is being kept in a freezing works pen.
