QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN The Royal New Zealand Engineers require a qualified Electrician at Burnham Military Camp. Applicants should have these qualifications: Trade Certificate or Advanced Trade Certificate, as prescribed by the New Zealand Trades Certification Board: registration as an electrician under the Electricians Act 1952 and its amendments, preferably for at least five years. Work will include general- electrical wiring, repairs to a variety of electrical equipment, inspection of equipment and installations throughout New Zealand and supervision of apprentices. Rank and grading on enlistment will depend on qualifications and experience, and could be up to Sergeant (Four Star). Salary scale will range from $4150 to $5300, depending on qualifications. Married men living out will qualify for additional allowances ranging from $520 to $650 annually. Promotion prospects up to Staff-Sergeant are excellent.
