‘SLEUTH' AS FILM
The Anthony Shaffer thriller, “Sleuth,”" a big stage success in London and Australia, opened as a film in London’s West End last week. It stars Laurence Olivier as an upper-crust writer of murder mysteries and Michael Caine as an on-the-make son of an Italian watchmaker. The plot amounts to an elaborate game of cat and mouse, with both characters taking a turn at each.
