Take-over bid for K. Garrett

J Kidd Garrett Holdings, Ltd, I yesterday received a notice! of intention to make a take-: over offer on July 31 from: Warwick Investments, Ltd (a! wholly-owned subsidiary of I Brierley Investments, Ltd),the Kidd Garrett directors[ announced yesterday. The price proposed to be offered is 120 c cash for each ordinary share and for each unsecured convertible note of ‘Kidd Garrett Holdings. Mr T. J. N. Beyer, of Wellington, a director of Warwick Investments, says that it is the intention of his company to continue the business of its present management, staff and board, and that it is intended that Mr D. H. McDonald. of Auckland, a chartered accountant, will be appointed to the board. The offer is unconditional. The parent company of Warwick Investments is the; beneficial owner of 253.590 ordinary shares and 4955 unsecured convertible notes in Kidd Garrett.
