FIREMAN SHOT AT
Policemen went to a house in Caledonian Road, St Albans, about 5 p.m. yesterday after a fireman attending a chimney fire in a house on the opposite side of the road said he was shot at by someone with a slug gun. The police went to the house from which the shot was reported to have come, and took away a slug gun. No arrests were made.
