Bread
Sir, —In May you published N.E.F.’s recipe for homemade bread, for which you had received many requests. 1 tried it recently but my pleasure in the accomplishment was dimmed by my husband's arithmetic. He said that for ingredients alone, it had cost me 26.6 cents for IJlb and that I could buy that weight for 14 cents. Husband-like, he added that health-wise he felt no better for the extra 12.6 cents and what pleased him to call, not too inaccurately, my total involvement for a whole afternoon.—Yours, etc., TIRED TRIER. I June 12, 1973.
