Six of the 16 prizes in the Clean Air Society’s poster competition were won by pupils of Linwood High School. The illustration shows the secretary of the society (Mr D. W. King) holding the winning monochrome entry’ by J. Lewis, aged 15, of Kaikorai Valley High School. There were 74 entries from fifth, sixth, and seventh form pupils throughout New Zealand.
