‘Games loaf’ for sale

Extra finance for the Commonwealth Games will be earned by a special promoition by a national bakery ■ firm. Quality Bakers of New Zealand, Ltd. The company will produce a new wrapped loaf, named “champ,” and has undertaken to give ]c to the Games fund from each unit sold. It will be produced initially for the Christchurch, Wairarapa, Hawke’s Bay, Nelson, Ohakune, Manawatu, Rotorua, Te Kuiti, Timaru, and eastern Bay of Plenty areas, and later in other parts of New Zealand. The group's head office in Palmerston North has not estimated how much its effort will eventually contribute to the fund, but it will next week make a “down payment” of $lOOO.
