Boy cyclist killed

(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, February 2. A boy was killed instantly and another seriously injured after they fell against the wheels of a passing truck and trailer unit while riding a bicycle on the Mangawhero Road, two miles east of Matamata. The boy killed was Malcolm Shane Tursrey, aged eight, of Rangiora Avenue, Matamata.

His companion, Robert Brady, aged eight, of Burwood Road, Matamata, was seriously injured, and was ad. mitted to the Waikato Hospital. The accident happened after the boys’ bicycle got into shingle. They fell under the trailer unit of the truck, which was carrying 18 tons of milk powder. It was travelling in the same direction.
