The Government is considering extending diplomatic relations to the Vatican according to the latest issue of the Auckland Roman Catholic newspaper, “Zealandia.” It quotes the Prime Minister (Mr Kirk) as saying that a review is now being undertaken of overseas representation, including the possibility iof accrediting the heads of Imore existing diplomatic missions to other govemiments. [ The report adds that Mr Kirk said that in the course °f this review, the extension of diplomatic representation to the Vatican would certainly be among the possibilities to be considered.
