Paparua capital value rises

There has been a steady rise in the capital value of Paparua County during the last five years.

Even allowing for the inclusion of the former Halswell County into Paparua since the last values revision, the increase in value of the original county has been about 75 per cent. The latest capital value of Paparua County (last July) was $198,989,000, compared with the capital value in 1967 of $105,306,000. The revision for the original county

| now shows a capital value of $166,758,000, a land value of i $68,793,000 and improvements of $97,965,000. The former Halswell County area now has a capital value of $32,231,000 — land value of $14,300,000 and improvements worth $17,931,000. In 1965, the I county’s capital value was $18,391,000.
