Milk station pay rise

WELLINGTON,. Dec. 10. A pay rise of 7.97 per cent for workers in milk pasteurising and treatment stations has been approved by both the Remuneration Authority and the Arbitration Court. The basic rate for workers covered by the Milk Pasteurising and Bottling Factories Employees’ Awards is increased from $50.57 to $54.60 (including the 4.2 per cent cost-of-living order).

Long-service, lump-sum bonuses have increased 81.8 per cent.

Pay increases are backdated to October 22. The award expires on July 31, next year.
