AUCKLAND, Dec. 10. A youth was killed by electric shock when he was trying to reach five persons injured in a road accident at Mangatawhiri, near Pokeno, yesterday. He was

Lawrence Hulm Cooper, aged 18, of Wyllie Road, Papatoetoe.

The youth touched an 11,000-volt power line brought down by the car in which the five persons were travelling. The injured were in the car, which had run off the road, and Mr Cooper touched one»of several live lines lying on the ground as he tried to reach the vehicle.
