MELBOURNE.
The former Australian speedway champion, Jackie Biggs, was killed in an accident at a motor-cycle meeting at the Bendigo track on Saturday night. Biggs, aged 50, was killed when he fell after overtaking two other riders in the final heat of an A grade event. His machine fell on to him, causing serious internal injuries.
