Motor-cyclist injured

A 17-year-old youth, lan Thomson, of 110 Roberta Drive, Spreydon, suffered serious head injuries when the motor-cycle he was riding was in a collision with a car at the corner of Clyde and Aorangi Roads, Bryndwr, about 2 p.m. on Saturday.

He was transferred from the resuscitation unit to a ward at the Christchurch Hospital yesterday, where his condition was described as comfortable.

Mervyn Ross Dann, aged 19, of 24 Shands Road, Hornby, suffered head injuries when the car in which he was travelling rolled over at Templeton about 8 p.m. on Saturday. His condition last evening was reported as fairly satisfactory.
